CLIMATE CHANGE – IT’S ALL ABOUT YOU YOU KNOW…

Cartoon Despair While world leaders flake out on a Copenhagen agreement, it is easy to despair and wonder why you bother.

However, I don’t know about you but I’m not surprised in the slightest that the opportunity has been lost. In the back of my head I’ve always had the feeling that this just wasn’t gonna happen.

A global agreement on meaningful, binding emissions cuts was always a long shot.

I’m confident it will still happen – it’s just going to take a little longer than planned and indeed hoped.

However, there’s no point in just sitting around and waiting for a global agreement to save the world. Carbon emissions begin at home and if you really care, the most important thing you can do is ensure that your own carbon footprint is under control.

There’s loads of things you can do to save energy and carbon and here’s a couple of ways to help you get started:

1) SIGN UP FOR 10:10 – a campaign to cut 10% of our carbon emissions by 2010.

2) Use the Guardian’s MYTHBUSTERS: WHAT CAN YOU SAVE? interactive carbon saving tool.

It’s all about you you know…
